Taiwan’s China Steel Corp. (CSC)'s said the demand for AP plate is increasing.

Currently, local distributors' re-selling price for AP plates was NT$17,800~18,000/ton, but the price has jumped to over NT$18,000/ton and it helps distributors win for more profit.

Local distributors are hoping that CSC can increase the production of AP plate due to strong market demand. However, it seems CSC will not able to match this request due to fully book from prime quality plate; the company is likely to have extra allowance for AP plate production in February.
